The government on Wednesday decided to invest up to €20 million in the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund via the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The government designated the Foreign Ministry as the national coordinator for the Three Seas Initiative.

The Initiative is an informal political platform of eastern and central EU member states on the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas aimed at boosting political, economic, infrastructure, energy and security cooperation.

The Three Seas Initiative is important for Croatia also because of the construction of an LNG terminal off Krk island which will connect to an already built terminal in Poland.
