Croatia's industrial output jumped by more than 8% in June, rising for seven straight months, which is perceived as an indicator of recovery of the production and the whole economy from the coronavirus crisis.
The national statistical office (DZS) on Thursday published data showing that Croatia’s industrial production in June rose by 1.5% compared to May, whereas it went up 8.3% in comparison to June 2020.
This, however, is a slower growth rate than the one recorded in May, when industrial output jumped 15.8% on the year.
Four of the five sectors saw an annual rise in June, with the highest increase recorded in energy production (17.4%).
The production of capital goods followed with a 14.6% increase and the production of durable consumer goods rose by 13.9%.
The production of non-durables was up 8.3%.
Only the production of intermediate goods decreased on the year — by 7.2%.
