Croatia's industrial turnover in October 2021 was 20% higher than in October 2020 and 0.1% higher than in September 2021, data from the National Bureau of Statistics show.
In October 2021, compared with October 2020, industrial turnover increased by 21.7% on the domestic market and by 14.3% on the non-domestic market.
Broken down by main industrial groupings, energy sales recorded the highest year-on-year increase, of 132.7%. Sales of intermediate goods rose by 19.0%, capital goods by 15.5%, durable consumer goods by 14.0% and non-durable consumer goods by 4.9%.
Industrial turnover has been growing on an annual level since the beginning of this year, with the exception of February, when it dropped by 7.7%. It rose by 1.7% in January, 11.7% in March, 40.6% in April, 36.0% in May, 20.8% in June, 17.8% in July, 22.5% in August and 18.2% in September.
In the year to October 2021, industrial turnover went up by 17.8% year on year.
Compared with September 2021, industrial turnover rose by 0.1%, decreasing by 3.5% on the domestic market and by 2.6% on the non-domestic market.
In October 2021, compared with the previous month, sales of energy rose by 11.3% and of consumer durables by 3.6%, while sales of consumer non-durables fell by 6.0%, capital goods by 5.4% and intermediate goods by 0.2%.
