Valamar invests €29.3m in Hvar island to construct an eco resort

The Valamar Riviera Hotel Group and the PBZ Croatia Osiguranje pension fund continue a joint investment in the hotel portfolio in Starigrad on Hvar with 220 million kuna (€29.3 million), most of which will go towards the construction of Valamar's first eco resort, the hotel company reported on Friday.

The approval for this investment was given on Thursday by the Supervisory Board of the hotel company Helios Faros, which operates within the Valamar Group.

In addition to the construction of the first eco resort, investments on the island of Hvar will be made in the completion of facilities under the Valamar brand PLACESHOTEL, and in the construction of the Aquamar swimming pool complex and a tourist zone.

Valamar announced that the resort will be sustainable and that all the highest environmental and green standards will be met in the construction and offer, including the use of sustainable energy sources.
