Croatia's state motorway company HAC published on Tuesday nine bids they had received in a tender to build a new 11-kilometre motorway section, with bids ranging from 281 million kuna (€37.5 million) to 365 million (€48.7 million), excluding VAT, state agency Hina reported.

The tender for a new section between the village of Lekenik and the Sisak junction on the Zagreb-Sisak motorway in central Croatia, and he estimated value of the project was put at 300 million kuna (€40 million) in the tender advertised by HAC in March.

The lowest bid was from a a consortium of local companies Colas Hrvatska and Geotehnika, at 281.3 million kuna (€37.5 million) and the priciest, 365 million (€48.7 million) bit was offered by Austria’s Swietelsky company.

Other bidders included Italian RDE and the Croatian GP Krk with a joint €46.7 million bid, Austria’s Strabag which asked for €40 million; another group of local companies which included Kamgrad, Kolektor Koling, and Zagorje Gradnja, offered a bid of €45.5 million, and another joint bid sent in by GIP Pionir and Hering was priced at €45.8 million.

Macedonian Beton company sent in a €42.6 million bid, Slovenian Gorenjska Gradbena Druzba offered €48.1 million bid, and the Albanian company Gener 2 Shpk asked for €39.2 million.

Hina did not report when the decision on the winning bid would be made or when the new motorway section is expected to be built.
