The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has announced that on 20 January it will launch the "Vatreni" ("The Fiery Ones") loyalty crypto-token, named after the nickname of the national football team, the Jutarnji List daily reported on Friday.
The HNS states on its web site that the federation “is joining the digital revolution in global football and has collaborated with two Croatian companies – AMPnet and Biznisport – to issue the Vatreni loyalty crypto-token and an accompanying mobile app.”
The pre-sale of a limited amount of tokens is still not open to the general public, but the HNS offers a link on their official website where people can sign up for the waiting list. In the pre-sale, a 10 percent discount is offered and the price is tied to the US dollar. The value of one crypto token is $0.9 with the minimum investment stake of $500. During the sale, the price of a token will be $1 with the minimum stake of $25.
The HNS President, Marijan Kustic, was quoted as saying that “by stepping into the cryptocurrency market, we’re making sure that we are staying on top of global trends, while also connecting with our fans and providing them with opportunities and services that they haven’t had access to so far.”
“I am especially proud of the fact that we have partnered with two Croatian companies on this project because I think that the IT sector in Croatia is internationally competitive and that working with domestic companies ensures that our partners are as dedicated to this project as we are,” Kustic said.
