The Conflict of Interest Commission on Friday instigated proceedings against Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic over disproportions in his declaration of assets, and against Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomasevic over appointments at the Zagrebački Holding multi-utility conglomerate and Srebrnjak Hospital.
Proceedings were instigated against Plenkovic because he did not declare a property near Dubrovnik, which his wife inherited as a co-owner, and for incorrectly stating the fees his wife received while on maternity leave.
Proceedings were instigated against Tomasevic for appointing members of Zagrebacki Holding’s management and supervisory boards without previous recommendations by the City Assembly, and for appointing Tomislav Lauc, who contributed HRK 10,000 to his mayoral campaign, to Srebrnjak’s Governing Council.
The Commission also instigated proceedings over the Zagrebacki Holding appointments against Tomasevic’s deputies Danijela Dolenec and Luka Korlaet.
