Croatia had about 1.57 million employed people in December 2021, or 0.1 percent up from November 2021 and 1.5 percent up from December 2020, state agency Hina said on Friday, citing data compiled by the state statistics bureau.
“Economically active population increased by 0.1% from November to slightly over 1.69 million in December,” Hina said.
There were 125,700 unemployed people in the country, unchanged from November, or 21.4 percent down year-on-year. The registered unemployment rate in December 2021 stood at 7.4 percent.
In the whole of 2021 compared with the previous year, the number of jobs rose by 0.7 percent, with the number of employees in companies increasing by 0.3 percent and in small businesses and freelance professions by 3.3 percent, while decreasing in agriculture by 2.0 percent.
