At its meeting on Thursday, the Croatian government approved a 9.1 million kuna (€1.2 million) emergency aid package to Ukraine after it was attacked by Russia on Thursday morning.

The aid, which state agency Hina described as “goods and equipment,” will be provided from government-run stockpiles of the Interior Ministry, Economy Ministry, Health Ministry, Foreign Affairs Ministry, and the national firefighting service.

“We are sending this aid as a token of solidarity,” Interior Minister, Davor Bozinovic, said. “Croatia is also prepared to assist Ukraine in landmine clearance operations, by providing our machines as well as advisory services,” he added.
