The clinical hospital Dubrava in the eastern part of the Croatian capital city of Zagreb, which had been repurposed into the main hospital for treating COVID patients in the country during the pandemic, will resume its regular services as of Monday.
After treating only COVID patients for 217 days, the hospital will get back to business as usual, Doctor Jurica Marakovic of the KB Dubrava told the national broadcaster (HRT) on Sunday.
The hospital’s reopening comes as Croatia is registering a decline in new daily coronavirus figures, as well as an overall improvement in the epidemiological situation in the country.
KB Dubrava’s inpatient units and outpatient clinics are expected to reopen their doors to patients as of Monday, and appointments for 300 non-COVID patients have been scheduled for Monday alone.
The hospital will however continue treating COVID patients. Currently, 110 patients are hospitalised in Dubrava, 23 of whom are placed on ventilators.
