In the past 24 hours there have been 46 new coronavirus infections and two related fatalities in Slovenia, the country's government reported on Monday, adding that epidemiologists were not satisfied with the vaccination rate.
Of the 668 persons tested, 46 have turned out to be positive, while the seven-day infection average is 121 and the 14-day incidence 70.4.
Thirty-one COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of whom seven are in intensive care units, and the death toll has reached 4,433, the health ministry reported.
Dissatisfied with the number of people vaccinated, epidemiologists continue to call on Slovenians to get vaccinated as the only solution to a new wave of the epidemic, expected in the autumn due to the Delta variant.
A total of 39.4% of the population has been fully vaccinated, while 44.5% have received at last one dose of the vaccine.
