In the last 24 hours, Slovenia has conducted 5,618 coronavirus tests and 18% of them or 1,011 have returned positive, the country's health authorities reported on Thursday.
In the said period, the infection has taken ten more lives, and the Covid-19-related death toll now stands at 4,516. Currently, 388 patients are receiving hospital treatment, and of them 105 are in intensive care units.
Slovenia’s 14-day incidence rate is 652 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The authorities expect the peak of the fourth wave to happen in early November.
Currently, the vaccination rate is 46.3% of the total population. According to the latest surveys, 71% of the respondents say they want to be inoculated.
