Croatia's Seismological Survery registered a magnitude 2.6 earthquake at 11.21 p.m. on Wednesday, the epicentre of which was near Vrpolje, 13 kilometres southeast of the coastal city of Sibenik.

The tremor was felt in Sibenik and the surrounding area, the Seismological Survey said.
