In the past 24 hours, 248 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Slovenia, almost twice as many as a week ago, but there have been no deaths, the government tweeted on Wednesday, adding that 12.6% of the 1,974 tests came back positive.
The seven-day average of new infections is 142, while the 14-day incidence rose to 83.
It is estimated that there are 1,752 active cases at the moment, including 36 hospitalised patients, more than a year ago today. Epidemiologists are concerned about the developments.
Nearly 40% of the population has been vaccinated and 45% has received at least one dose, the Health Ministry said.
