The two fires that broke out near the coastal town of Sibenik on Saturday are now fully under control and all the nearby roads are open on Sunday after about 200 firefighters battled the fires throughout the night.
The rain helped the firefighters, several planes and members of Croatia’s Armed Forces deal with what is considered to be the largest wildfire in Croatia this year.
