In May 2021 Croatia's average net salary was 7,104 kuna (€948) nominally 6.7 percent and in real terms 4.5 percent up from the same month last year, the state statistics bureau said on Tuesday.
By industry, the highest average salary was in the oil industry, where it totaled 10,756 kuna (€1,436) while the lowest salaries were in clothing manufacture – 4,401 kuna (€587). Overall median net salary in May 2021 was 5,966 kuna (€796).
The average gross salary in Croatia was 9,553 kuna (€1,275), nominally 5.4 percent and in real terms 3.2 up from May 2020.
The average hourly wage in May 2021 was 41.6 kuna (€5.5), or 6.3 percent up year-on-year. The average gross hourly wage in May 2021 was 55.9 kuna (€7.5), or 5 percent up year-on-year.
